The Countries of Irith
Irith
is a world rich in culture and history. Covered by vast, deep oceans,
Irith boasts six continents: Clorne, Northern Houress, Southern Houress,
Drakiria, The Top of the World (northern arctic circle), and Irith's Heel
(southern arctic circle).
Resources and populations vary on
each continent, yet constants are magic, religion, monsters, and a great
many other things. Click on the heraldic shields to the right to view
information about each country.

NOTE: The maximum gold piece value
relates to the most expensive item that would be for sale in that
community. If you require something in a community that costs more than
the listed max value, then you would have to seek private individuals,
clerics, wizards, or others in professions that might have that kind of
gold available.
Also, only towns and cities that have
a population of 900 and above are listed on the Irith Maps. This is mainly
due to the clutter that would occur on the map if every community was
listed.

date representing an important event to its people. By clicking on each
country, you can view them. Below is a listing of events that may be
celebrated by those spread out across the land and are not tied to any
specific country.
Elven Rite of Ascension
Date: Day 23 of the Month of
Summer's Waxing
This is a holy day recognized by
elves as the optimal time for their spirits to rise to the stars to join
the spirits of those who left before them. The day is spent spreading the
ashes of the dead at the base of sacred trees to signify the remains of
their physical beings helping the land to grow as their spirits ascend to
heaven.
Em'Sharfhei High Holy Day
Date: 21st Day of the Month of Winter's Waxing
This holy day is when the constellation of Em'Sharfhei is brightest in the
northern sky. Elves everywhere celebrate it with prayer and fasting for
three days.
Great Centaur Flight
Date: Day 14 of the Month of
Autumn's Waxing
Centuries past, the centaurs
dwelling in Shria Valley were driven out by the forces of Varanady.
They trekked over 1,000 miles through the Gloridon Pass to the
western side of the continent of Southern Houress to escape. They
returned home once the Dearkus War had ended. Each year, they make a
weeks-long journey retracing the steps of their ancestors through
the Gloridon Pass to Regdon City. The day is celebrated with great
reverence by all Ountrai Centaurs everywhere.
Gremlidone Day
Date: Day 12 of the Month of
Autumn's Waning
After Varanady was crushed,
the Queen’s 5 elementalist wizards continued to wreak havoc across
the land. The grand wizard Gremlidone tricked the wizards and
trapped each of them forever inside of the Crystals of Gremlidone.
But the stones disappeared two centuries ago, rumored to be spread
out across the land by Gremlidone before he died to prevent them
from ever coming together again and possibly becoming free.
